Stretch out those tight muscles with the help of supports, the power of the breath and the force of gravity. Hold those positions just a bit longer than is comfortable and feel the advantages in your body and mind. Work into salutes & a balance. If we get time we also move into tai chi based calligraphy yoga for joints and energy flow. Come along and feel better.

This is mat yoga for over 60. We do yoga class including the joint mobilizing and energizing movements of Master Yang's tai chi based calligraphy yoga. So we warm up by rolling our energy balls, using flowing, and vinyasa movement with breathe. It is a lot easier than it sounds with some stronger movements to challenge mind and body and add a bit of fun. This combined yoga is a great way to work the body, rejuvenate the mind and cultivate positive energy. I like to use these movements to remember to be grateful for the natural environment that surrounds and supports us in everything we do. Seated Yoga for 60plus $6 Hutt Council

This is 45min seated yoga for over 60 and mobility impaired. We enjoy yoga to acoustic music while seated. There are minimal standing movements that you can opt out of if you need to. Do you feel the need to move or want to bring a friend or relative who really needs to get moving? This is somewhere you can relax too. We warm up by rolling our energy balls, using flowing and vinyasa movement with breathing. We have the option to limit our movements so we can slowly increase our range over time. There are stronger movements but we are encouraged to work with the needs of our bodies. This seated yoga is a great way to bring movement into the body, rejuvenate the mind and cultivate positive energy. I like to use these movements to remember to be grateful for the natural environment that surrounds and supports us in everything we do. It is important to celebrate what we have, so come along.
