What we're about

Do you embrace the possibilities of your child's future and encourage them to be who they are? If so we invite you to join Awesome on the Spectrum Inc.! We celebrate our differences around here and want our members to rock their awesomeness in their own unique way.

Social interaction is an important part of building life skills for people with special needs. Awesome on the Spectrum is a non profit organization focused on social interaction and sensory activities for kids of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We also support anyone with special needs looking to make new friends in an accepting, fun and family oriented environment.

So what does the $25.00 annual fee get you? We meet several times per month for social skills classes for our toddlers, older kids and young adults. We offer outings on a monthly basis to allow your child/teen to be social with new friends in the group.

We provide several family friendly events like our annual Easter Egg Hunt and Craft Party, our Fall Costume Festival and Christmas party with new events added every year. We offer autism and ABA workshops, financial & estate planning seminars and advocacy assistance. AotS partners with medical, health and wellness entities to provide you with a one stop source of information at your fingertips!

*Music Therapy and Art Therapy classes are offered by licensed therapists at an additional fee of $10.00 per family for each session on a monthly basis.

Quite a lot for less than 0.07 cents per day don't you think? The best part is that you get to try it out for 60 days before your fees are due! (The fees are used to cover the costs of the Meetup page monthly and to provide supplies and materials needed for social skills class) It does not include a voting membership to Awesome on the Spectrum Inc.)

Awesome on the Spectrum works to spread awareness and understanding of autism and people on the spectrum. To encourage young people to successfully build friendships, confidence and independence with the best possible outcome in mind.

Parents have a chance to support each other and to have a great time with people of similar backgrounds.

Won't you join us? We would love to welcome you to AotS!
