About Bill O'Chee

Bill O'Chee is the youngest person ever to be appointed to the Australian Senate. Former Nationals Senator Bill O'Chee was only 24 years and 10 months old when he was appointed to fill a casual vacancy in the Upper House on May 8, 1990. He successfully stood for election in his own right at the 1993 but lost the seat at the 1998 election, ending his term on June 30, 1999.

Mr O'Chee went to The Southport School and Brisbane State High School. He attended the Royal Military College, Duntroon and University of Oxford where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Honours (Jurisprudence) and coxed in the Oxford University lightweight rowing crew. His sporting prowess extended to the sport of skeleton, competing from 1989 to 2002 at the World Cup and World Championship races.

About David Leyonhjelm
 
Elected in 2013, David Leyonhjelm is the first member of an Australian parliament from a classical liberal or ‘libertarian’ party. He favours individual choice and freedom over government intrusion.

David is married and owns an agribusiness consulting company in Sydney. A veterinarian, he also has degrees in business and law. His main sporting interest is target shooting, and his favourite music is opera.

About Dr Gary Johns
 
Gary Johns is Adjunct Professor at QUT Business School and writes extensively as a columnist for The Australian newspaper. He served in the House of Representatives and in the Keating Governments. He was an Associate Commissioner of the Commonwealth Productivity Commission.

Gary received the Centenary Medal and the Fulbright Professional Award in Australian-United States Alliance Studies, served at Georgetown University Washington DC. He was Senior Fellow Institute of Public Affairs, senior consultant ACIL Tasman, and Associate Professor at the Australian Catholic University.
