The Big Bang - Nov 2018

Hi all,

We are delighted to announce that the first Azure Meet up for Galway will take place on the 7th of November at the Portershed at 6:30 PM.

We would like to give a special thanks to ITAG for sponsoring November's Meetup.

We think its fitting that we start with a bang... the Big Bang... so we will discuss the ever-expanding universe of Azure.

The agendas for the first session are:

1. Azure Uncovered - A tour through the services and building blocks on Azure – John Tallon (Storm Technology)

2. Behind the scenes of Azure – A Tour of the Data Centre, its complexity, security and scale – Mike Brosnan (Metlife)

John hopes to give everyone a good understanding of the many many services in Azure and put context around them and explore some use cases.

Mike will take us around the 'Modern' Azure Data Centre and what makes them tick.

We will be creating a backlog of ideas and areas of interest and we would appreciate your feedback and suggestions on what topics we should cover in subsequent meetups.
