Special Event: Cloud and infosec Q&A with Troy Hunt

Details

How is it to run an high-profile and high-traffic site such as Have I Been Pwned (https://haveibeenpwned.com/) on Azure, what are the five stages of data breach grief, and what general infosec craziness happened in 2019?

If any of these questions are top of your mind, then this is a session not to be missed as we host an open Q&A with security researcher, technologist and public speaker Troy Hunt in town.

Have a question you'd like answered but maybe don't want to ask on the night? Post it anonymously via the form at the link below:

IMPORTANT: This special event will be held at WooliesX in Surry Hills (try taking the new Tram to get there!)

Food and drink available from 5.45pm onwards.

About Troy

Troy Hunt, is an Australian Microsoft Regional Director and Most Valuable Professional (MVP). He also is the creator of the Have I Been Pwned? (HIBP) data breach notification service and has previously testified in front of US Congress on the impact of data breaches.

While he is not a Microsoft employee, they have recognised his community contributions by way of their award programs since 2011.

Troy is a Pluralsight author of many top-rating courses on web security and other technologies. There's no better way to get up to speed on a topic quickly than through professional training that you can take at your own pace. As both an author and a student, Troy has nothing but positive things to say about the breadth and quality of Pluralsight courses.

For fourteen years prior to going fully independent, Troy worked at Pfizer with the last seven years being responsible for application architecture in the Asia Pacific region. Time spent in a large corporate environment gave him a huge exposure to all aspects of technology as well as the diverse cultures his role spanned. Many of the things Troy teaches in post-corporate life are based on these experiences, particularly as a result of working with a large number of outsourcing vendors across the globe.
