Global Azure Bootcamp

Details

Time has come for the 5th edition of the Global Azure Bootcamp (http://global.azurebootcamp.net/), the world's biggest Azure event. This is also the 5th time the Danish Azure Usergroup is doing this event here in Copenhagen.

This year we are doing two tracks to cater for both Developers and IT-Pro's interested in Azure.

This event will take place on Saturday the 22nd of April from 10.00-16.00 at IDA's (the Danish Society of Engineers (https://ida.dk/)) meeting facilities on Kalvebod Brygge (close to Fisketorvet / Copenhagen Mall and Dybbølsbro train station)

Please bring your laptop and preferably an Azure Subscription (a trial subscription should be fine if you don't have an MSDN subscription you can use) to get the most out of the day.

Agenda - Developer Track

10:00 Welcome and intro to Global Azure Lab
10:30 2x lightning talks for Azure Developers
-- Azure architecture at DI (Danish Industries) by Christian Holm Diget

Azure has been around for a while now, and with all the services available on Azure today it can be hard to get a clear picture of how they fit together. Of course there is no single right answer, but a good place to start is to see what others are doing, and the architectural styles they arrive at. In this talk I will give you a quick tour of how we have been using Azure at DI, and give you some insights into the architecture and work processes that grew from it.

-- Building a Global Scale Enterprise Application with Azure AD, App Services and DocumentDB by Marilag Dimatulac, Solutions Architect @ Dewise

In this talk we will look at a Business Case for a Risk Assessment Management system for a large Danish Enterprise by diving into the building blocks. You will get an overview of the architecture as well as challenges and possibilities.

12:00 - 12:45 Lunch and networking

13:00 Deep-Dive with Azure Monitoring by Rasmus Hald, Azure Guru

One of the hidden gems in Azure is the built-in Monitoring and Alerting capabilities that comes with almost every Azure resource. These capabilities are evolving fast and with the latest updates to the features, we now have even more to offer.
Join me for this technical and demo-heavy session where I will take you on a tour of how you can leverage Azure Insights to monitor your IaaS and PaaS workloads in Azure. You will learn how to use and deploy these features to make your customers Azure solution even more complete.
