For many companies already using containers (or considering a move) the portability, scalability, and agility of Kubernetes represents a very attractive platform and it's no secret the K8S has become an incredibly popular way to orchestrate containers.
During this session we will have an overview of Microsoft's managed Kubernetes offering: AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), looking at how Microsoft augments Kubernetes through features such as an Azure managed control plane, Active Directory integration, secure policy implementation, and Azure monitor. We will also look at the new and exciting world of running Windows containers on kubernetes.
John O'Brien is a Cloud Solutions Architect at Microsoft focusing on the delivery, and optimisation of customer Azure projects with a particular focus on infrastructure and application development.
John has worked with dozens of customer teams across development, infrastructure, and operations functions helping them transition critical applications and systems to Azure.
