By 2022, it is expected that 90% of companies will use IaaS or PaaS cloud services according to Gartner. Adopting PaaS services as part of your journey to the cloud allows you to focus more on the providing business value to your end users rather than managing the underlying infrastructure. Modernizing your applications to the cloud is about taking advantage of PaaS services with minimal modification to these applications. In this session, we will discuss why, when and how to modernize our existing .NET applications to Azure, the common challenges that we may face, what to consider as part of our modernization journey (including elements to pay attention to), the tools that we can use and what to do once the modernization phase is complete.
