What we're about

The Greater Boston Network Users Group, BNUG for short, provides an education and technical forum for professionals and those interested in computer networking and related technologies. We hold (free) monthly meetings on technical topics, and that provide an opportunity to meet other professionals to ask questions, get answers, share ideas and information. BNUG has been in existence since its founding in 1986. Our meetings are free and open to everyone interested in joining us. No obligation. No hidden fees (we work off your optional, unpressured donations). No sales meetings -- our meetings are technically oriented.

A Beginner's Guide to WordPress

MassBay Community College

WordPress can be confusing when you are just getting started with the platform. Once you understand how it all works and how themes and plugins enhance each website, you can start to understand how powerful the platform can be. Come join me as I share with you the power of WordPress, what you can do with it, what you should consider and some resources to help you dive into WordPress with confidence. I've seen some beautiful WordPress websites developed by technical, non-technical and creative people. Come to the discussion with your questions and your creativity. About our Speaker, Kim Reddington Kim Reddington has been developing websites and web applications since 1999. She currently runs a website development firm specializing in service-oriented entrepreneurs who are looking to get their message out into the world. Her firm takes care of the technology that gets in the way -- so you can serve more people and grow your business. To learn more about Kim, visit https://kimreddington.com/ Schedule: Q&A and general discussion 6:30pm; meeting starts at 7pm and must end by 8:45pm per MassBay requirements. GETTING THERE without a car http://wiki.toku.us/doku.php?id=bnug_getting_to_meetings_without_a_car Need a ride? Adam Frost is providing a mini-bus service to and from the meeting from Forest Hills; call him at[masked] to arrange. We are continuing our tradition of each of us bringing some potluck food to share. We will provide the plates, glasses, and utensils. Please aim for bringing healthy food, as many of us are struggling to eat healthier stuff (but don't make it so healthy that it doesn't taste good!). Thank you. And of course we always accept donations to help keep the group running; thanks. The event may be videotaped. By attending, you grant the Boston Network Users Group, True Images Productions, our sponsors, and any other affiliated parties consent to photograph and/or record your voice and image for use on, but not limited to, social media networks, video hosting sites and any other platform available now or in the future in perpetuity. You further acknowledge that the term "photograph" used herein encompasses both still photographs and motion picture footage. Upcoming meetings!
