Connecting the DOTS: an Intro to the Data-Oriented Tech Stack

For our July meetup, we've got Phil Deschain from Unity coming to talk about what's new in DOTS, Unity's new data-oriented tech stack. DOTS is incredibly powerful and very clearly the future of programming Unity, so you're not going to want to miss this event!

Stripes Learning is also coming to talk about their new masterclass courses, as well as to sponsor pizza for the evening! Please RSVP so we ensure there's enough for everyone.

We are going to cover the rationale and reasoning behind DOTS, its performance benefits and the reasons added performance is there. We will also do a little bit of a deeper dive into the guts of DOTS, just to illustrate some core concepts. Also Q/A.

The name is Phil Deschain. I've been a game developer for about ten years now, primarily working on mobile games: Guns of Boom, Two Dots. Also did some indie stuff that never went anywhere. I love harder technical problems and I am specializing in DOTS just because of that.
