Your package is out for delivery! A primer on the Unity Package Manager

Details

Hi BUG! This month we are excited to introduce local developer Scott Doxey who will be demystifying the Unity Package Manager.

ABOUT THE TALK:
Unity has been releasing tons of new features and improvements lately, and there is plenty to cover. Come learn about one of the most helpful additions: the Unity Package Manager. It's an editor tool for importing code into your project. This talk will walk you through what the package manager is, how it differs from the asset store, and how you can use it in your projects. We'll even learn how to make and distribute packages for anyone to use!

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Scott is a senior engineer at Cantina, a design, development and strategy agency in downtown Boston. He is currently working on a medical-focused VR application in Unity. In his spare time, Scott is an open-source tools developer and has worked on full-stack web development tools and a variety of Unity tools. Scott is also working on several game development projects and is the co-founder and organizer of the annual Purple Monkey Game Jam, a two-day game jam in the Boston area each year.
