Hi BUG!
This month we’re doing special spooktacular haunted lightning talks! Absolutely everyone is encouraged to present!

Have an interesting game dev tidbit you learned recently that you’d like to share? Finally fixed that horrible weird bug in your game and want to talk about the epic trail of suffering it took to solve? Want to show off your latest game or side project? All topics are welcome!

If you’re interested in presenting, please add your name to the list here: https://forms.gle/eTQvzbaRzL2AuiGeA

Here are some of the topics and speakers thus far:

Chris Maire - Showin' off the BIT SHO set and talking about the tech at a high level

Graham Pentheny - The bug that almost broke Alphabear 2!

Jesse Crafts-Finch - Bolt for Unity

Chris Hart - Rendering the 9000 brightest stars in the sky in their correct locations, relative to your position on Earth AND to the current date/time... making it work cross-platform, and then networking the whole thing.

Elliott Mitchell - VFX Graph

Jeff Campbell - Open Source Development and Unity

Please note that due to a scheduling conflict, we’ve moved BUG to TUESDAY October 27th.

A SPECIAL COVID-19 UPDATE:

We have made the decision to virtualize all our events for the foreseeable future. We will continue to have our usual monthly lectures, but we will not be hosting any in-person events at the CIC. Instead we’ll be streaming all our presentations on twitch over at https://twitch.tv/bostonunitygroup

We intend to get things back to normal as soon as possible, and look forward to better days. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email us at admins@bostonunitygroup.com.

***********************************

By attending or participating in BUG events, you agree to abide by our safe-space policy (https://tinyurl.com/yablpctf). If you feel you are unable to, please do not attend or participate.
