Hi BUG!

This month we're excited to announce Jesse Crafts-Finch will be presenting on Unity's Visual Scripting system! There has been a groundswell of community interest Unity's Visual Scripting, especially from those accustomed to other 3rd party visual scripting systems, people who may not know how to code yet, and/or those who know how to code and want to leverage Unity Visual Scripting to achieve their objectives. Jesse's knowledge and experience with Unity Visual Scripting will empower our community members looking to code with Unity Visual Scripting!

Unity Visual Scripting (Formerly known as, and always in my heart, Bolt) is an excellent tool for controlling and debugging application flow in place of standard code based finite state machines. It is easier to setup, easier to use, easier to debug, and most importantly, easier for other stakeholders to understand and interact with. In this talk I will give an overview of how to use it, and what some of my recommended practices are to fully leverage its features and avoid its shortcomings.

Jesse Crafts-Finch is the owner and operator of Gorilla Tactics, a video game contracting company. He has over 14 years of production and programming experience helping clients design, build, and launch games. He also regularly joins existing teams to help them develop features and meet project deadlines. He loves the work he does because of the new challenges it brings every day, and the amazing people he has gotten to work with. He can often be found parachuting into and riding wolves through the wilderness of Leverett and Amherst MA; the only viable means of transportation in that rugged, undeveloped terrain.
