Scriptable Object Architecture
Details
Happy New Year! This month, we're ringing in 2022 with Chris Hart presenting on the power and utility of Unity's Scriptable Object Architecture!
DESCRIPTION:
Scriptable Objects are one of the most useful tools to have been added to Unity in recent years. While you can initially consider them as a simple container for data, you can use them for events, you can persist your whole game state across scenes, you can serialize them easily and even consider ditching some singletons. This talk will start with a basic introduction to Scriptable Objects then introduce the Scriptable Object Architecture library, available for free, that can give you a lot of extremely useful tools to decouple your game objects from your data, make it easier to work with a team, and place a lot of power in the hands of non-coders.
SPEAKER:
Chris Hart is a developer of games, simulations, and educational software. Chris currently lives in the Boston area with her family and is looking forward to being able to travel again in the future.

We intend to get things back to normal as soon as possible, and look forward to better days. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email us at admins@bostonunitygroup.com.
