[Online] Bayside Adventure Sports Bible Study

Register by email to join our online event

Are you involved in Bayside Adventure Sports and want to connect with others? Jesus gave us a new commandment: "Love one another even as I have loved you." We connect with each other through fellowship time, prayer, and (of course...) a small group bible study! That's how the love happens. Fellowship is even more important during the isolation and challenges of the Coronavirus and shelter-in-place orders. We are finding each week that God still provides an avenue of needed fellowship through an on-line bible study. We are studying the Parables of Jesus! J. M. Boice said "Some sections of the Bible give us grand theology. Some move us to grateful responses to God. The parables ask us if there has been any real difference in our lives." We will look at a parable each week and ask what it tells us about following Jesus today. Please join us Wednesdays, but note that due to shelter-in-place orders, we are meeting virtually rather than physically via a WebEx event. You can join us via computer, smart phone or tablet, or by a phone call - whatever works best for you. Please send an e-mail to [masked] for further details on how to join us!

Evening breeze Kayak Lake Natoma at Willow Creek

Willow Creek Recreation Area

Restarting the evening paddles at Lake Natoma, better late than never (pending re-instatement of our permit.) Enjoy a pleasant evening starting at the middle of the lake and going either towards the Nimbus Flats or the opposite direction, cruising through some narrow lagoons. We are going to hopefully see some wild life, like the bald eagles that have taken up residence high in the trees along the shore. This is a leisurely paddle while we socialize and keep our 6 ft distance necessary. This is a bring your own boat trip as we cannot supply them due to our arrangement with the State Parks. There is a $10 charge to enter the park, bring exact change please. We are on the water at 630 and will get out before dark. You may want to bring a snack and a water bottle to have as we paddle about. I hope to make this weekly, so we can have a regular meeting time to get together.
