WHERE: Mount Diablo State Park, 96 Mitchell Canyon Road, Clayton, CA 94517

WHAT: This is about a 14 miles strenuous hike, not for beginners. Adults only. Elevation Gain/Loss: 3225 feet. We will start from Mitchell canyon road this will take us constantly uphill the first 6 miles during this time we will stop on the trail to eat, you will need to refuel. We will make it to the summit for a 20 minute break they have a store/ bathrooms. We will come back North Peak to Bald Ridge to Back Creek trail to Coulter Pine to Oak road back to car.

We should be back to Sacramento around 6:45/8:00 p.m. Depending on pace of group. I would like to keep a 30/35 minute mile going up and down.

WHO: This hike is for those who are in good physical hiking condition and are able to hike 7 miles uphill and down hills or done other strenuous activity such as mountain biking/showshoeing. Not for beginners!

WHEN: We will meet at 7:00 AM, depart at 7:15 AM from Enterprise park and ride off of Hwy 80 and Enterprise road.

Make a U-turn at Lake Rd onto Enterprise Blvd.

CARPOOL:Due to liability issues, BAS cannot organize or provide carpooling. At the Park & Ride parking lot, please be prepared to arrange your carpooling among yourselves and to help out drivers with gas money (A good rule of thumb is $3.00 for each hour of drive time. There is a $6 self parking fee at Mount Diablo State Park bring exact change. Toll on the way back $5. IF you are running late meet at the trail head. Please respect the time. WHAT TO BRING: Layered clothing that wicks moisture, comfortable hiking boots, hiking poles, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, water shoes for the river and creek crossing. at least 2 liter containers of water (hydration bladders or Nalgene-type bottles), food for lunch and snacks and a camera. $$ for gas.
