A beautiful hike up on the Belchenflue with fantastic views and castles

Start point: Läufelfingen, 9.43 a.m.
End point: Waldenburg
Distance: 14.2 km
Ascent (up): 630m
Descent (down): 670m
Duration: 4.45h not counting breaks

We will take the train at 9.01 from Basel on platform 18. Please check yourself before if the platform has changed. Buy a ticket to Läufelfingen. If you want to come to Läufelfingen directly, we will meet you there at 9.43 at the train station.

You need to wear good hiking shoes, sun screen and a hat and bring enough food and water for the day. There is no shop.

This is a challenging hike with the classification "difficult" that is not for beginners. We will walk up to 1100m which means it is cool and windy. Dress accordingly.

Tickets are 69.00 and 40.00 if you start your visit after 16:00.

There is a 58.00 ticket if you live in Basel. It says citizen, but in German it sometimes says Bürger, sometimes Einwohner. Seems to be Einwohner.

For most people, I think the three hour ticket will be enough. I have not decided yet, but I think that will be the option I will take. Put your comments down below.
