Details

If you’ve never heard a writing professional critique someone else’s travel story, we have a Meetup for you!

Attendees of our last Meetup - Forbidden Vancouver’s Prohibition City Tour, Assignment, and Critique (https://www.meetup.com/BC-Association-of-Travel-Writers/events/234224695/) - have taken the tour and are busy writing stories about their adventure.

At this event, they will receive feedback about their stories including:

  1. How well does the story grab my attention.

  2. Overall structure and flow.

  3. The ability to have me feel like I was there.

  4. Sense of flavour or personal way of writing.

  5. Success in conveying the content of the tour itself.

The result will be a learning experience for everyone in attendance.

Note: Writers who submit stories need not be in attendance at the November 2nd Meetup, as the comments will be recorded for you and posted on our website bcatw.org.

This is a great opportunity for new travel writers to experience being “on assignment,” and to get writing feedback in a safe, productive environment.

Leading the critique is BCATW acting president, Baila Lazarus.
