Joe Wiebe, the “Thirsty Writer,” is a co-founder and the Beer Director of Victoria Beer Week, which takes place annually in early March (April 1-9 this year because of omicron!). Joe also helped co-found the BC Ale Trail, for which he is the Content Manager.

Joe is also the author of Craft Beer Revolution: The Insider’s Guide to B.C. Breweries, the definitive guidebook to British Columbia’s burgeoning craft beer industry, which was a B.C. bestseller in 2013 and won the Gourmand Award for Best Beer Book in Canada. A second edition was released in 2015.

The BC Ale Trail published blogs three or four times a month and we are always on the lookout for writers who can bring a unique spin to a story that somehow involves craft beer. We also publish “Road Trip Tasting Notes” which are longer-form photo-essays that have a unique mapping component that allows the reader to follow along with the story.

Join us to hear how you can write beer writing travel stories.
