Debunking Immigration: Bringing in Top Talent is Easier Than You Think
Canada’s immigration culture is changing for the better. The pendulum is swinging back to a balance between facilitation and enforcement. However, tech employers often perceive bringing in top talent as a cumbersome process. This (mis)perception often hinders growing tech companies from taking the chance on a foreign worker for a key role (whether it be technical vs business, or junior vs senior) that will help to accelerate the company's business growth. Employers should not fear immigration like in years before or shy away from the conversation simply because someone requires a work permit. This Grub in The Hub will provide a practical ‘how-to’, provide clarification between myths and facts, and touch on upcoming immigration changes. Learn how to use immigration options effectively for recruiting and employing key staff. Hear first hand from tech companies about examples of how they've brought in foreign talent and implemented knowledge transfers and leadership development programs to grow a world-class team.
Who should attend: Founders, executives and Talent/HR practitioners of startups and growth stage tech companies who plan to hire foreign talent for key roles in the future.
