How much data loss is “near zero” data loss

Details
You have heard that AlwaysON Availability Group provides near zero data loss. When you design your HADR solution it is critical to understand what does it mean and are you able to make such a promise? You need to know are going to lose data, when does it happen, how much data have been lost. To give an answer to yourself and to your customers, you need to understand how the Availability Group synchronization and failover work and what happens in case you need to perform failover. You need to understand the cases when data loss could happen and how to measure it. In this session, I am going to describe the availability group commit and failover process, cases when you are forced to perform a failover, the choices you could probably have to reduce data loss, and how to report the amount of data that have been lost.
