This is BIKEast’s regular Saturday morning ride from Moore Park to Ramsgate and back (36km) at a medium pace (av 20km/h).
We ride on the road and use cycleways as much as possible.

From Moore Park we ride via Alexandria* past the airport, through Brighton Le Sands, to Ramsgate Beach. After coffee (and optional pastries) we head back – we’re usually back at Centennial Park at approx. 10:30am.
Don't forget to bring your keep cup! :)

We start at 7:30am sharp and the ride is almost always on. We'll ride in fine drizzle but not heavy rain - please contact ride host for any weather-related updates!

*If you live west of The East, we can meet you at The Grounds in Alexandria at 7:45am (cnr Bourke Rd and Huntley St).

Do you want safer, quieter, and more attractive streets, where people riding bicycles can get around safely and easily?

BIKEast is the bicycle user group (BUG) representing people on bicycles in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, stretching from South Head to La Perouse and west to the fringes of Sydney's CBD, Redfern, Green Square and Mascot. This area covers Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick and Bayside councils.

We lobby local councils, the State Government, and the Transport agencies to provide better conditions for active travel. Our vision is for a high-quality, connected network of safe, convenient and visible bike routes accessed via bike-friendly (low speed) neighbourhood served by well-designed local bike routes.

Attend a meeting if you want to get involved and help achieve this vision, or if you just want to find out who we are and what we do. Everyone is welcome and every little bit of support helps!

During this pandemic situation, please stay up to date and follow instructions from NSW Health / Government.

Scenic tour of the eastern suburbs and beaches from Bondi Junction, via Waverley, Bronte, Coogee, Maroubra to La Perouse.

We will return via Yarra Bay, Heffron Park (Matraville), UNSW and Centennial Park (ETA at Paddington Gate is 10:45AM).

Moderate speed (average 18km/h); Light traffic conditions (contra to peak traffic flow out, and then back streets and bike lanes return).
