What we're about

This is a community for Boston-area queer polyamorous women. Queer includes asexual, bisexual, lesbian, transgender, intersex, kinky, questioning, curious etc - I like it so that I don't have to come up with a laundry list of descriptors and risk leaving anyone out!

I hope this community will be used for general chat and advertising social events of interest to BQP women.

2nd Wednesday social in Somerville

Needs a location

Diesel is still closed, and it's gotten too cold to meet outdoors, so I'm changing our venue to Starbucks in Davis Square. When Diesel reopens, I'd like to move back there, since they take reservations. Starbucks does not take reservations, and only has a few tables that will be large enough to accommodate us, so if you can go early and scope out one of the big long tables, I'd appreciate your help! This is an indoor venue.

Our 2nd Wed social has been going for 15 years now. Please come join us! We have a terrific group of women and the conversations are lively. Read our FAQ - it does answer a lot of questions that newcomers have about attending our socials.

Polyamorous Bi & Pan Speed-Dating 21+

Needs a location

This is not an event we are running, but it's an event that some of our members will want to attend, so I'm publicizing it.

This is a polyamorous speed dating event for all genders who are interested in dating all genders, for folks 21+. This event is trans-inclusive, and can only accommodate 30 people, so grab a ticket as soon as you can. The event is wheelchair-accessible, and the hosts will provide live ASL upon request, with at least 5 days notice. Vaccination cards or negative test results within 72 hours of the event are required. If you don't have either, you will be turned away without refund. The event requires masks. Tickets are $35, available at this link.

Since we are not running this event, an RSVP to this Meetup does not mean that you are confirmed for attendance. You must buy a ticket through the link above. If people want to RSVP here, it's just so that other members of our Meetup community will know that they will see some familiar faces at the event.

Thank you, Kelly, for bringing this to our attention, and I hope we see many of you there!

Hard Cider and Socializing

Needs a location

Enjoy a Friday night in Salem with hard cider and conversation at Far From the Tree in Salem! We can order food from some neighboring restaurant for delivery, or there may be food truck options that night. There is on-street parking around the cidery, and there's also a nearby parking lot across Jackson Street for some daytime businesses that can be a good place to park if the on-street parking is a challenge.

Movie Night at Malden member's home

Needs a location

*Please read all the way through the event description before you RSVP!!

Rain date June 25.

Join us for the next movie in our movie night series! We show poly and/or queer and/or kinky movies on an occasional basis. Our longtime member, Angel, is hosting the movie at her home in Malden, a short walk from the Malden Center stop on the Orange Line. The movie will be shown outdoors using a projector.

Covid Vaccinated individuals Only. Max number of attendees is 12, so please RSVP early. Angel will email the address to the attendees the week of the event, so please keep your RSVP up to date. You are welcome to bring a date of any gender if you wish. (Please include them in the RSVP!) If you wish to have snacks or drinks, feel free to bring some with you. Napkins, cups, and plates will be provided. There are plenty of seats for people who are not driving to get there, but if you are driving, please bring a chair. And bring a blanket if you'd like!

The doors open at 8:00 and the movie will start at 8:30 SHARP, so please don't be later than that. The movie we will watch is "Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice" (1969). Trailer/review from the New Yorker: https://www.newyorker.com/video/watch/front-row-bob-carol-ted-alice

Synopsis: After returning to Los Angeles from a group therapy session, documentary filmmaker Bob Sanders (Robert Culp) and his wife, Carol (Natalie Wood), find themselves becoming vigilante couples counselors, offering unsolicited advice to their best friends, Ted (Elliott Gould) and Alice Henderson (Dyan Cannon). Not wanting to be rude, the Hendersons play along, but some latent sexual tension among the four soon comes bubbling to the surface, and long-buried desires don't stay buried for long.

Please cancel your RSVP if you can no longer attend, so that others may.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE NOTE! Address will be sent out the week of the movie - if you do not have your Meetup subscription enabled to receive emails from other members, Angel cannot PM you the address! Additionally, please make sure you have either met Donna or Angel prior, as this is at a member's personal home. Attending our Somerville social is the best way to get this requirement met so that you can attend our movie nights.
