Are you wanting to improve your public speaking skills, and leadership abilities? Then you are a candidate for becoming a member of BREAKAWAY Toastmasters. We offer you the ability to test your speaking and leadership skills through a variety of engaging projects and roles.
Can you think quickly on your feet? You’ll have the chance to participate in a fun and effective way through impromptu speaking with Table Topics. This will boost more confidence into your speaking abilities.
Ever wish you could improve your time management skills to match your task? Toastmasters provides you with the opportunity to hone your time management skills through delivering timed speeches and evaluations. As the Toastmaster of the meeting, you will be in charge of starting and ending the meeting on time, and in assuring every aspect of the meeting transitions smoothly, effectively, and timely.
Desire to develop management skills? You can choose to work as an Area Director where you are responsible for the success of four clubs, organizing speech contests and assuring all clubs attend the club officer training.
Desire even more of a challenge? Try your hand at Division Director. As a Division Director, you are responsible for guiding and assisting four Area Director, selecting a Division Council, organizing the club officer training agenda, and organizing the Division speech contests.
Ever wanted to learn how to be a good leader? Become a Club Officer and help the club achieve the highest level of recognition, the Presidential Distinguished award.
What other opportunities does BREAKAWAY Toastmasters offer to build or hone your skills?
Choose to hold a Club officer position as President, Vice President of Education, Vice President of Membership, Vice President of Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer, or Sergeant-At-Arms. You may also take the opportunity in volunteering to fill different roles in club meetings such as, Grammarian/Ah Counter/Word of the day, Timer, Speech Evaluator, General Evaluator, Ballot Counter, or Toastmaster.
