〚WHAT IT’S ABOUT〛
Learn the fundamentals of robotics and coding with this fun, festive craft! Kids 10 and up are welcome and will learn how to use the popular robotics brain called “Arduino” which is coded using the Java programming language.
In the first hour, attendees will build a variety of simple circuits, write code, and learn how to manipulate LED lights and basic motors with Java functions and variables. In the second hour, the construction of the reindeer begins. Attendees must consider the physics of a four-legged robot and how to position the components and weight for maximum speed.
Speaker: Alice Walker, Instructor and Head of Youth at BSD
