The First Israeli Bitcoin Hackathon

Think about ideas, practice your coding skills and get your sleeping bag ready, the first Israeli BITCOIN HACKATHON is here!

The BITCOIN Hackathon is a 48-hour coding marathon.
The purpose of the hackathon is to give developers, designers, entrepreneurs and BITCOIN-fans the chance to pitch ideas involving only BITCOIN - form teams - build a prototype of their idea, all within only 48 hours!

How does it work?
We will meet in eToro offices in Ramat HaHayal, Tel-Aviv.
After a short registration and introduction, each attendee will present himself, and his BITCOIN-based-idea (if he has one) and what he needs to make this happen.
Then we will divide and team-up to small work-groups (teams must consist of at least 1 person but at max 5 people), each group will work on the idea they chose to lead. Groups should be diverse!

The groups will work on their idea and develop it as much as possible in the 48-hour time limit, and in the last hour each team will present what they've achieved so far and what are their plans for the future with the idea.

Groups are invited to sleep at eToro offices, but you should bring your own sleeping bag!
There will be snacks and beverages. For real food the groups can go and buy food in Ramat HaHayal or order-in.

Agenda for the Hackathon:

Thursday 30/05
18:30-18:45, Registration. Don't be late! Again, DONT be late!
18:45-19:30, Introduce yourself. Everyone will have 1 minute pitch to present himself. Try to keep it simple and say who are you, what you do, and how did you get involved with BITCOIN. All under 1 minute.
19:30-20:00, Pitching your idea. Everyone who has an idea, will get 3 minutes to pitch it. Summarize the idea,why do you think the idea is important/has potential and what you are going to need to finish your idea on time.
20:00-no limit, We will vote for the best ideas, divide into groups and start hacking things up!

Saturday 01/06
Develop until 18:00.
18:00-19:00 Presenting the products, voting.

At the end of the hackathon we will (all the attendees) vote for the best products. The products will be judged by 3 aspects:
-Contributing to the promotion of Bitcoin.
-Creativity.
-How finalized and ready is the product.

The winning product WILL get a reward :P
