ah, the age old question. I am a 27 going- on curmudgeon year old who, despite all odds, believes fiercely in fighting for my fellow humans. I also like to read and am usually heinously cynical about said process, but find great joy in it none the less.
no one right answer here, Delillo's White Noise tops the list currently but I can certainly tell you what books I don't like: most of them. Most terrible, crappy, thin fiction that all reads the same and in which you don't actually care what happens to any of the characters because none of them seem worth caring about and that a fiery death might actually be preferable because at least something would be happening. There- I said it. Judge away.
Recently relocated Montanan suffering from what Portland calls winter, but enjoying the city's spoils none the less.
