Founded in Mar 2015, Badminton Fanatics is a group comprising passionate badminton players of all levels with a shared passion for the sport. Members of any age and proficiency are more than welcome to join us for an enjoyable badminton workout session after office hours.

[Cat B] Thu Night Badminton, 14 Nov 7.30-9.30pm @ Leng Kee CC

Court details: Court 2:[masked]pm $8/person or guest. Kindly pay upon arrival. We will be appreciative if you are able to pay in exact amounts, please. You are responsible for the people you bring. No shows or cancellations 24 hours before the start of the badminton session will be chargeable and payable at the next session unless a replacement is found. REQUIREMENTS: [Category A] -Proper footwork, able to retrieve drop shots. -Forehand Lob from baseline to baseline. -Backhand lob from baseline to baseline. -Perform power smashes along with proper netting/lifting skills. -Perform power forehand drive, adequate backhand drive. -Able to read the game play and come up with a strategy to win. [Category B] -Reasonable footwork, able to retrieve most drop shots. -Lob from baseline to about baseline. -Backhand lob from baseline to 3/4 of the other court. -Perform adequate power smash with adequate netting/lifting skills. -Proper service, have an idea of a basic strategy. [Open to all Levels] -Basic footwork, able to retrieve some drop shots. -Knows how to perform a basic lob shot (without missing the shuttle). -Knows how to do a basic smash and basic netting/lifting skills. -Understand the game rules and count the point system. The organizers are very stringent and particular about members joining the category group suitable for their playing levels. Each and every member will be meticulously examined during sessions to ensure a smooth and fair game play for the other participating members. Organizers would like to place a caveat that qualifying for intermediates categories for other badminton groups does not guarantee acceptance into our Category B or Category A. The organizers have the rights to refuse any players from joining the session should they be found unfit of the requirements. Players who are deemed unfit for that particular category session are encouraged to join the category session suitable for their playing level.
