CANCELLED Baji Zhandao Kung-Fu & Self-Defence Training for Adults 16+
Thought of taking up a martial art class but had no idea where to start? Do you want to learn how to disarm someone with a knife or gun? Fight multiple attackers and use your body as a weapon to defend yourself in any possible situation? Do you want to feel more flexible, confident, present and have fun at the same time? Come and join us in training the foundations of Baji Zhandao Kung-Fu. How much? First class is free, then only £12 pay as you go or £50 for your first 10 sessions. £5 per class for students & unemployed (evidence required). Who is it for? No previous experience is required. All abilities, fitness levels, men and women are welcome although training is only available to people aged 16 and over. Loose clothing is advised but no special clothing or equipment is needed, only a willingness to learn. What do you do in a class? A typical class lasts 2 hours and involves self-defence drills, weapons handling & applications, standing meditation, iron shirt/palm conditioning, form practice, stretching and exercise. It is a complete system of internal & external health. We also focus on martial Qigong (meditation and energy development), mobility and flexibility. Classes are led by Joe Cheung, a red sash instructor in Baji Zhandao. Joe's training includes: 6 years Baji Zhandao Kung Fu, 4 years Bujinkan Ninjitsu (4th kyu), 2 years Urban Krav Maga Please email me at [masked] for more details. The pub has a spacious outdoor garden area and seating, and fantastic burgers and drink. Zhandao is Mandarin for 'Battlefield Style'. The name derives from the main system we teach which is Baji Zhandao. This is a modern day evolution of a number of internal styles of Kung Fu from China, including: Baji Quan Tai Chi Quan Pigua Zhang Tongbei Quan Bagua Zhang Xingyi Quan The Baji Zhandao system was created and developed by Grandmaster Chen Fu Sheng over the last 15 years. Master Chen is an ex-Chinese special forces instructor, one of the highest level masters of Baji Quan and other styles in China and also one of China’s greatest living Iron Shirt Masters. He has a lot of real world fighting experience, spanning over 50 years as a practitioner, in both military operations and as a combatant due to a number of years working in the Chinese High security Prison service. Come and join us in training the foundations of Baji Zhandao Kung-Fu.

Where?
We meet every Sunday at 4pm in Battersea Park, under the Bandstand right in the heart of the park (10 minute walk from either Battersea Park or Queenstown Road train stations). This location is great for cover from the British rain! If you have any trouble finding the location please contact me using my mobile phone (details below).

How much?
First class is free, then only £12 pay as you go or:

- £25 for your first 5 sessions.

- £50 for your first 10 sessions.

£5 per class for students & unemployed (evidence required).

Who is it for?
