We have been invited by the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to celebrate their 150th birthday next week on Wednesday 17th October! They are celebrating by sharing stories of how RNIB has supported blind and partially sighted people over the years - https://www.rnib.org.uk/who-we-are/rnib-150/your-stories and they wanted to hold a bake sale to raise money for their work.
They have asked for Bake a Difference to bake / sell cakes to their staff and visitors at their head office in Kings Cross. It would be great to have birthday themed cakes and any 150th references would be amazing!!
We also invite bakers to stay to help out at the sale and have the opportunity to meet RNIB staff, colleagues and supporters as well as take a tour of the resource centre which sells products to blind and visually impaired people helping them to be independent in their everyday life. This will be a great opportunity for bakers to get a better idea of what the money raised will go towards.
Bake sale to take place at RNIB reception area, 105 Judd Street, Kings Cross, London, WC1H 9NE at 11am - 2pm.
The reception opens at 7:30 am so bakers can drop off cakes beforehand from this time onwards. I may be able to meet you earlier if needs be.
