Thursday Night Casual (and non-casual!) Gaming @ Kangaroo and Kiwi

Let's meet up and play games. All are welcome and all games are welcome. Come late or early as we start off with short games then regroup into longer games. We do have games, but you can bring your favorite games to share also. We typically play light to medium weight games at this Meetup, but all games are welcome, assuming you have willing participants.

Ballard Board Games at Mox Boarding House on Tuesday nights

Location visible to members

Join us in Ballard for board games at Mox Boarding House every Tuesday! We're now in the tournament room! Formerly the "Euro-games" group, we've branched out in genres these past few years and will play just about anything. We're also joined by a member of Mox's staff who will be teaching a few newly released games every week (watch the comments the weekend before the event to find out which ones). Our average attendance is 12-15 people, so don't be put off by the RSVP count if it's low! Regulars rarely sign up here anymore and we're listed on Mox's official calendar as well. You're not required to RSVP either, but it's a good place for questions or to let people know what you want to play. FAQs: How can I find you? We use the Tournament Room as our play space. Head to the back of the store to find us, or simply ask any staff member and they'll direct you. May I arrive late? Certainly. We start 3-5 player games every 30-45 minutes. You can also sit and watch for a while (it's a great way to learn). What kind of games do you play? We play all kinds of games but tend to prefer strategic and Euro-style games. Should I bring my own games? Mox Boarding House offers a lending library with many titles to pick from, but you're always welcome to bring your own and show us why it rocks! Is food and drink available? Yes! Cafe Mox right next door offers a moderately-sized menu and offers service to the room during the event. Do I need to buy food or drink? Not at all. We would never discourage someone from having a good time by requiring a purchase. However, please be aware that outside food and beverage is not allowed in the store. I'm new to this leisure renaissance of board gaming, will you be patient and inclusive? On our best days, we offer practice games. If you're new to all this, come on in and hang out, kibbitz, or maybe even partner up with someone. Most of us will teach our favorite games and if you have something specific you want to learn, let us know!
