Court Data Hack Night

Join us to dig into Baltimore City's court record database. With the help of MVLS's Matthew Stubenberg, lawyers, data scientists, and technologists will have a chance to be introduced to the database, learn how to search it, and make sense of decades of information. With the data, you can better understand issues like:

• The impact of cash bail on people;

• What neighborhoods have the most citizens locked up; and,

• The affect of marijuana decriminalization.

You do not need to have previous database experience to join us. It will be a learning experience for all backgrounds. Per usual, after playing with the database we'll grab drinks at a near by bar to continue the conversation.

Please bring a laptop to this meetup so you can get your hands (hard drives?) on the data!
