Please join us for a session where we work to co-create our community!

We will continue to gain clarity on the Baltimore Organization Development Community of Practice mission, vision and values.

Elaine Dearing, MSOD, will act as facilitator for this fabulous session.

Elaine Dearing is a passionate facilitator and organization development consultant with 10 years of experience delivering on large scale, complex, multi-year transformational system implementations for the federal government and commercial agencies. She obtained her Masters of Science in Organization Development from American University; Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Health Policy from Duke University. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore.

She will be utilizing a facilitation process that was developed in the 1960’s by the Institute of Cultural Affairs, ICA. This process has been refined over the last 55 years in their pursuit to provide participatory facilitation methods in community and organization development in the USA and internationally. This facilitation process leads to your CoP’s consensus base group decisions that respect diverse perspectives, create joint resolve, and inspire individual and group action. Individual participation is honored by focusing on the insight within each idea.

Key outcomes:

• Engages all group members to co-create the vision, values and mission of the CoP;
• Organizes the group's vision, values and mission;
• Reveals the consensus in large groups’
• Builds effective team partnerships; And
When used strategically, this facilitation process can make teams move through the stages of forming, storming and norming more efficiently.

There will also be some time to gather in fellowship and continue getting to know one another.

PLEASE be sure to complete the Baltimore OD CoP survey by July 31st.
