THE PROJECT
We’ve ordered a bulk supply of blank coffee sleeves. While enjoying good food, drinks, and conversation, we'll be tasked with filling those sleeves with positive messages, quotes, jokes, fun pictures and more.

We’re donating these sleeves to OneDo Cafe (Canton) and Koba Cafe (Federal Hill). They will use those sleeves until they are gone, distributing them with coffee orders to their patrons throughout the week. How awesome will it be for someone to go to their favorite coffee shop, place their usual order, look down and see a fun message from you?

WHAT TO BRING
- Yourself, your good vibes, and your appetite :)
- Any supplies that will help you be creative (some folks bring extra permanent markers and stickers)

PARKING
Free street parking in the neighborhood (flex your parallel-parking skills)

The Salvation Army of Central Maryland is looking for volunteers to help out with this year’s Annual Feed the Children Food Drive on October 21, 2021 from 9 am through 3 pm. The event will be held at the Allison Transmission Plant located at 10301 Philadelphia Road, White Marsh, MD 21162. The goal is to provide nutritious groceries to families in need.

Volunteer duties include-
1.) Packing bags with nutritious food
2.) Directing guests to park and leave the premises
3.) Stuffing groceries into open car trunks

More on why this event is so important-

Did you know that children are the most vulnerable to daily hunger, and malnutrition? Food deserts are prevalent in many Baltimore communities. Obtaining quality nutrition would be a 1-2 mile hike to the nearest grocery story. And even with the trip, food prices are high. Many families are unable to afford basic staples such as bread, vegetables, or meat. There are days where meals must be skipped just so households can scrounge up enough to pay for rent, utilities, and basic bills.

Did you know your time makes a difference in the lives of children struggling with hunger? Be an advocate to end
hunger by volunteering.

The warehouse is located at 400 East 29th St, Baltimore MD 21218. They provide volunteers with a free, ample, parking lot; a facility that is handicap accessible, and opportunities to make lifelong friends.

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

CFSP aims to improve the health and wellness of low-income residents, who are 60 years of age and above, by supplementing their diets with nutritious vegetables, fruits, grains, and meats from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Seniors who are running on a tight income, less family support, and nutrition issues need your help. Help fight food scarcity today by packing a box full of hope.
