What we're about

The Baltimore Grape Society is a diverse group of people that welcomes everyone age 30 and over to join us in our mutual love of the grape. We are wine lovers from the Baltimore area and beyond. Once a month, we gather at some of the area's best bars and restaurants to explore, taste, imbibe, and enjoy great conversation. In the process, the best part of all, we meet and make new friends.

At times, just for fun and with very little advanced notice, the group will do a "Flash Mob" and gather at a popular restaurant or bar to mingle, unwind and just enjoy a glass of wine and engage in great conversation.

Simply put, our mission is to taste as much wine as possible, whether it be red, wine or rose. Join us if you love wine, have an interest in wine, or are just "wine curious."

Annual Dues: $5 payable via Zelle using my email address moondance16@gmail.com. Most banks participate with Zelle. If yours does not, download the zelle app to get started. If technology fails, you may mail your check or money order, payable to Alyce Verville, addressed to Baltimore Grape Society, c/o Alyce Verville, 951 Fell St., Apt. 619, Baltimore, MD 21231.

Cheers!

Note: many venues require an accurate count. If you RSVP and your plans change, please be considerate of the venue and the members of the group and update your RSVP.

Black Ankle Wine Tasting

Black Ankle Vineyards

i look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday - if you have changes to your schedule please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you. Carol [masked]) Black Ankle Wine Tasting starts at 3 PM. The current tasting includes 4 wines. There is a limited food menu for purchase to compliment the tasting that includes cheeses, olives, crackers, bread, nuts, jams, salami, etc. If you would prefer, please bring some lite fare to share with the group. Wine is available for purchase. Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis but I will attempt to arrive early and try to save some seating for us. The group is limited to 20 for the tasting and beyond that, a waiting list will be established. If you sign up, please be courteous and notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make it so that I can notify the winery and also those on the waiting list can be notified. Following the tasting, anyone interested can participate in an "after party get together" at a location to be determined. Let's Go To The Movies! Bottle Shock!!

951 Fell St

Come join me in my building's theater to view the movie, Bottle Shock. "Paris-based wine expert heads to California in search of cheap wine that he can use for a blind taste in the French capital." This wine snob was in for a big surprise! Bring a bottle of wine to share (French or Napa) and some easy snacks to share. Salut!
