November 2016 Meeting - Microsoft UWP Development

Abstract:

Interested in developing for the Universal Windows Platform, but not sure where to start?  Want to see your app in the Windows Store where you have the potential to reach hundreds of millions of users around the world?

In this introductory talk, we’ll discuss the origins and principals of the Universal Windows Platform, walk you through the basics of getting started (including building and deploying your first app) and touch on the fundamentals of basic UI design, XAML, and Data Binding.

While a basic understanding of C# development principals and the .NET framework is assumed, all experience levels are welcome.
