June 2021 Meeting - Using CLI/REST API/Powershell to control Azure DevOps

Details

Speaker: Matt wrote his first program in Fortran on a card punch machine while still in high school. He survived the experience and went on to major in Computer Science at Texas A&M University (Gig 'Em Ags!!!). In 25+ years in IT he has seen a lot, done a lot, and has the t-shirts to prove it!

In his off time he enjoys sampling craft beer, visiting friends and family, traveling to interesting new places, presenting to user groups and conferences, and giving back by helping out non-profits with their IT issues through Baltimore Techies for Good.

Abstract: Most everything you can do in the Azure DevOps Portal can also be done via the REST API, AZ command line tools, or PowerShell cmdlets. This talk will show you tips and tricks to use these tools to automate common tasks, generate ad-hoc reports, and master of Azure DevOps from VS Code, Jupyter notebooks, and the Windows Terminal.

This will be a Hybrid (real world/virtual) event. Let me know if you need to the MS Teams login information otherwise we'll see you at Barrett's.
