The open-source world is expanding rapidly. Much of the software that powers the world has a reasonable share from the open-source. In order to be in pace with the industry, one should know how it works and how one can make a contribution to it. Open source contribution can cater to numerous benefits towards one's personal growth as well as career prospect. The session talks about the open source world at Apache Software Foundation along with the speaker's own experiences with it.

Speaker: Aditya Sharma

Aditya works as a Sr Enterprise Software Engineer at HotWax Commerce. An open-source enthusiast, he is a PMC Member to Apache OFBiz and Apache Roller which are top-level projects at Apache Software Foundation. He is a chapter lead for the Apache Local Community Indore chapter. He has been a speaker at Apache Con @Home which is the official global conference of The Apache Software Foundation. He is actively involved in spreading the word of open source and Apache Software Foundation with the various events through the ALC Initiative.
