This is a group for anyone interested in hiking in Thailand. All skill levels are welcome, but you should be physically active and able to do intermediate to moderately strenuous hikes. I started this group to meet other outdoor enthusiasts. I would like to plan day trips/overnight trips from Bangkok on the weekends (especially holiday weekends) to explore the beautiful natural areas of Thailand. Anyone with experience or knowledge of Thailand's nature areas and an interest in the outdoors is encouraged to join!

Star Watching & Waterfall: Huay Mae Khamin Waterfall (Geminid meteor shower)
Soi Wutthakat 24, Khet Thon Buri, Kr, THHuai Mae Khamin Waterfall has been a hidden waterfall located in Kanchanaburi province. This waterfall was recently introduced to the public. There are 7 levels of waterfall waiting for us to visit. This blue waterfall is surrounded by green and flowery scenery. It’s voted to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand.
We are going to set up our camp near the waterfall and visit the upper waterfalls to chill out or swim on our own agendas. On the next day, we are going to walk to the Srinakarin dam, and back on lower level waterfalls to swim and enjoy the rest of the morning before heading back to Bangkok and complete our weekend holiday.

8.00: Van leaves from the Gas Station near Wutthakat BTS Station. (it takes around 4 hours from Bangkok to reach the national park entrance, we will stop at the gas station for a 15-20 minute break)
12.00: Arrive at The National Park Entrance, and Lunch.
13.00: once we set up the tent at the campsite. We are going to walk to the upper waterfalls then we spend time near the waterfall on our own agendas.
17.00: Back to the campsite, change & shower. We will have dinner at the National Park campsite.
Milky Way: 3AM - 6AM (Best time when the sky still dark)
Day 2:
7.30 - 8.00: Breakfast
8.00: Hike the Srinakarin Dam and the lower waterfalls
12.00: Back to the camp have lunch at the National Park canteen, tidy up the campsite.
13.00: Leave the National Park and get back to Bangkok
18.00: Back to Bangkok and end the trip

Hiking level: Easy - Moderate
- The hike is the combination between staircases and national trail uphill. The trail is clearmark. We rate this hike to be between easy (if you have regular exercise) to Moderate

Level Explanation
- The whole waterfall from the 1st level to the 7th is around 2.7 km in distance. Our campsite is in the middle, the upper trail is mostly national trail, the lower is more staircases.
- The further walk to the dam is around 1 km

Flower season and Phu Sub Lak Hike (Easy)
Soi Wutthakat 24, Khet Thon Buri, Kr, THDecember and January are another great months to visit Lopburi Province, mainly because of it's the time when the flower blooms. Lopburi has been planting sunflowers, sunhemp, and other types of flowers for agricultural purposes (to add nitrogen back into the soil). Over the years, tourists began to notice the beauty of these flower fields, planning the visit Lopburi at the end of the year has become a popular activity.
Our trip includes visiting three different flower fields and easy hike at Phu Sub Lek Hill, where you can enjoy the mountain backdrop and reservoir views—perfect for beautiful photos and a bit of exercise.

Itinerary

8:00 – Van leaves from the gas station and heads to the sunhemp flower field.
- The drive takes about 3 hours, with one stop at a gas station where you can grab snacks or a cold drink.
11:00 – Arrive at the sunhemp field.
- Pick up your lunch box and enjoy walking around the flower field.
12:00 – Return to the van and continue driving to Lopburi Province.
14:00 – Visit the sunflower field and cosmo flower field.
15:30 – Arrive at the entrance of Phu Sub Lek Peak and start the short hike.
- The distance to the viewpoint is only 200 meters, taking about 15 minutes.
16:30 – Return to the entrance, take a break, refresh, and stretch.
After that, we begin the drive back to Bangkok.
19:00 – Arrive in Bangkok and end the trip.

Floating grassland by kayak
Udom Suk bus stop exit 1, Bang Na, Ba, THKayaking and visiting the floating grassland, the unseen area of Rayong. This is the thick layer of grass floating on the water. The route of this grass could be as long as 1 meter, which makes this land walkable, and bouncy. This place can only be visited by kayaking or hiring a local boat. We will also visit the mangrove and have lunch by the ocean.

7.50: Check in at Inthanin Coffee at Bangchak Gas Station, 300 meters walk from Udomsuk BTS Exit 1
8.00: Van leaves from the departure point. We are heading to Rayong Province, the journey takes around 2.30 hours include gas station break
10.30: Arrive at Thung Prong Thong. Start walking on the mangrove trail, this trail is around 1.5km on the wooden bridge passing the ocean and mangrove forest.
11.30: Reach the end destination, HTMS Prasae (PF 2) Memorial through. We will have our lunch box near the beach. After that, we will get back to the van, and transfer to Rayong botanic garden.
12.30: Arrive at the botanic garden. We will set up our kayak gear, warm up and get briefly introduction about the kayaking route
13.00 - 15.00: Kayaking and visiting the floating grassland, the unseen area of Rayong. This is the thick layer of grass floating on the water. The route of this grass could be as long as 1 meter, which makes this land walkable, and bouncy.
15.00 - 15.30: Cleaning and returning to Bangkok, then we leave and return to Bangkok.
18.30: Return to bangkok and end of our trip

Road Trip Bangkok to Chiangmai: Natural Historical Trail
Soi Wutthakat 24, Khet Thon Buri, Kr, THVisit the Natural Historical Trail along the way from Bangkok to Chaingmai on the road trip and stop by other 4 provinces to visit their unseens of Thailand, such as ancient painting, pre-historical trail, and wonder of nature. The hike from this trail ranges from Intermediate, it’s a short distance hike on the natural trail. Note: the trail isn’t flat, it has some elevation.

Day 1
7.00: Van leaves from Bangkok heading north
8.30: Arrive at Wat Muang. We are going to see the tallest seated Buddha in the world. There are also other interesting points from this temple we are also going to visit. (Heaven & Hell, Glass Buddah image hall). After this we will take a road trip to UthaiThani Province.
12.00: Lunch at a local restaurant.
13.00: After lunch. We continue to Hub Pa Tat, and visit a Jurassic park-like trail. After the easy walk at Hub Pa Tat, we are going to hike up to see ancient paintings at Khao Para.
17.00: Return to the van. We will have dinner at the local restaurant, near the place where we can see millions of bats leave the caves after sunset. *Subject to weather conditions and time*
18.00: We will continue the drive to Hotel in Kampangpetch Province
20.00: Check-in at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the night.
Day 2
7.00: Breakfast at the hotel
7.30: Checkout and leave back on the road.
12.00: Arrive at Pha Hob, we are going to have lunch then visit a new unseen of Thailand. We are visiting here for bamboo rafting or kayaking, and swimming in the river. (bring dry clothes to change). If the trail is visible, we could do the small trekking to the caves nearby.
16.30: Back to the van and drive to Chiangmai
18.00: Arrive at ChiangMai. And end the trip, we can drop of you at the airport or railway
