Heyoo! We’re back and ready to present something cool!

Welcome to the last edition of AlphaBeers before the Spanish summer solstice puts us all into complete summer mode.

We’re Alpha, and we’re building Moonshots right out of Barcelona, so come join us because we can’t do it alone.
Finding solutions to the World’s biggest challenges isn’t easy and we want your help. You are the smartest, most creative, most tech-savvy people in the city and we want to meet you again and share a beer (or water) with you!

This week we have 45 minutes of short and amazing talks and then a full hour of networking and free beer. Meet us, meet others and have great ideas!

-->"Do we live in a simulation?"<-- Follow us down the rabbit hole as we discuss simulation theory, Artificial Intelligence, directed panspermia and the science, technology and philosophy of how to know if we live in a simulated world and what might happen if we are?
Alex Rodriguez: Knowledge Network curator at Alpha and all around nerd, sci-fi enthusiast and theoretical physicist

-->“Experiment-driven innovation”<-- Sarah and Emily will explore the power of experimentation, taking us on a journey of experiments that have had a significant impact on how things work the way we know them today – from lab studies in science to A/B testing in business and everything in between. Get ready for some surprising examples from many different areas, and to feel curious to start running more experiments yourself!

Sarah Shepherd is the User and Design Researcher at Alpha Health. Previously, she has worked as a UX Designer + Researcher
Emily is the Go-To-Market Manager at Alpha’s Health Moonshot. Previously she has worked in marketing and strategy roles in London and San Francisco. She is a One Young World ambassador and keen traveler and foodie!

This editions will be hosted at the amazing and super-conveniently located Movistar Centre right in Plaça Catalunya. Many thanks to them for lending us this awesome space and let's not forget the free beer!
