Next Generation Config Mgmt

For our May presentation, James will talk to us about a next gen config management tool he has been developing and the specific problems this project solves.

Three of the main design features of the tool include:

• Parallel execution

• Event driven mechanism

• Distributed architecture

This talk will demo a prototype James built that implements these ideas and which is written in golang.

He will introduce the tool, demo the new features that were added since the project was introduced (like automatic grouping, automatic elastic etcd clustering and remote execution features) and finally he'll even share some of the future plans!

An introductory blog post on the subject is available.

Attendees are encouraged to read it before the talk if they are
interested!

This presentation will be hosted by James (twitter @purpleidea), who is in Barcelona for a conference and was kind enough to offer presenting his project.

After the presentation we will hang out for a bit in Verse's offices for casual networking and discussions, with some drinks and snacks. Stick around!

Hi, can I leave my bike inside Verse Office? or inside the building in a safe place?

Sure, you can bring it with you in the elevator and leave it in the office.
