What we're about

Barrel of Makers is Delaware's FIRST and ONLY makerspace: a community center where makers of different skill levels and ages can come together to build and showcase projects. We share space, tools, and knowledge with one another. We are always excited to meet new people, because everyone adds a new perspective and ideas.

Maker Monday

Route 9 Library and Innovation Center

DIY projects can be social! Bring whatever project you are working on, and bounce ideas around with fellow makers. Generally we have electronics, fiber art, programming, and 3D design projects going. Or, you can just come to meet the community and check out the new equipment at the Route 9 library! In order to use equipment in the Lab, such as the 3D printers or Laser Cutter/Engraver, you will need to attend an Orientation and classes on each piece of equipment.

Open Hours: Route 9 Maker Lab

Route 9 Library and Innovation Center

Open hours are for Route 9 Maker Lab members-meaning you have a least taken the Orientation. This is time when you can practice the skills you've learned in the Route 9 Maker Lab Certifications. Remember to wear your badge and only use the equipment on which you've been trained. Since we are generally busy during Open Hours, it would be a good idea to reserve the equipment you want, using the Equipment Schedule Spreadsheet in your weekly email. Shop Supervisors: Jessi Glassco, Angela Younger, and Michael Tharp
