Kaggle Newbie Workshop + BMLM 1st Anniversary!

In preparation for our Kaggle sessions starting from October 18th, BMLM meetup organisers will run a pre-workshop to help you settle in for the main Kaggle workshops. Our goal is to help you understand words and concepts that may frequently come up at the workshop.
We will cover:
• What Kaggle competitions are.
• What is feature engineering.
• What is cross validation and a demo in R and Python.
• What is an XGBoost algorithm.
We will also help you set up a Kaggle account and download the datasets needed for the workshop on the 18th. This day will also be special for Bath Machine Learning Meetup as it is our first year anniversary since we founded the meetup last year! We will have cake to celebrate so please join us for a fun evening.
