Details

Join us Jan. 10 for our first meetup of 2019 in Menlo Park!

You'll enjoy an evening of insightful talks, tasty food and refreshing beverages. And of course the evening wouldn't be complete without our raffle! This meetup, as usual, is free thanks to the sponsorship of GridGain Systems.

> Your name here? Looking for one more speaker!

  • 6 p.m. – Food and drinks
  • 6:10 p.m. -- Talk 1 (Konstantine): "Scalable IoT with Confluent MQTT Proxy and Apache Kafka."
  • 6:45 p.m. -- Talk 2 (Doug): "Some SQL, NoSQL, JSON and GeoJSON, Please!"
  • 7: 25 -- Talk 3 (TBD):

  • 8:05 p.m. Finis!

Doug's talk: Learn how get the best of SQL and NoSQL with a large serving of JSON for high availability apps that run both on premises and in the Cloud.

Konstantine's talk: We'll go over the design and implementation of the recently released MQTT Proxy by Confluent. We'll discuss the challenges in supporting IoT uses cases that are based on the MQTT protocol and how Apache Kafka helps to scale IoT applications while making IoT data available for stream processing.
