This month's event will be hosted by Robin.io.

At this month’s meetup, we will hear from Rahul Jain at Palo Alto Networks, and Ravikumar Alluboyina as well as Jagadish Mukku from Robin.io about “Application modernization and portability across clouds”.

In this session, Ravi and Jagadish will cover Application modernization, speak about why container-based portability is beneficial, followed by a demo around portability across clouds for your stateful workloads. Rahul will share his experiences and learnings after adopting Kubernetes to power their Hadoop implementation

Application portability is a growing consideration among enterprises as the array of private, public, and hybrid cloud options continue to expand. Containers are gaining favor as the best approach to application portability, notably as a way to work around the issues of virtualization.

Would you like to know what it takes to run Stateful applications such as Hadoop or Oracle RAC on Kubernetes? Are you trying to backup your Kubernetes-based databases to the Cloud? Are you trying to move an application like Cassandra, MongoDB, MariaDB, CouchDB from one cloud to the other? Come join us at the meetup and exchange views on these topics.

Join us to learn more.
