What we're about
Update (November 11, 2018)
Although our main organizer is still not available, a few of us have been able to be committed to continue the meetup fairly regularly. We are scheduling one session at a time as we are able to, please simply comment on the relevant meetup sessions if you need more info on how to attend.
All levels and instruments welcome! But it does help if we know what instrument you plan on bringing so we may prepare a part for for you.
============== IMPORTANT NOTICE (Sept 29, 2018) ==============
We are putting a hold on the meetup for some time. I have been personally out of the country for some time and it would take me a few months to get back. We have had some trouble in finding organizers for the meetup due to which the meetup events have been suffering. In order to maintain the quality, I am putting off from organizing an event till I am back personally to start this once again. Once I am back, hopefully before the end of this year, we will start with regular weekly meetings once again and I hope to see a lot of you then.

Please use this sheet to suggest songs for the upcoming meetups
This meetup is for anyone who is interested in critically analyzing music and preparing to perform at Open Mic and other events. Each week we will chose a few songs and analyze them by transcribing all instruments and then practice to be able to perform it (limited by the players we have at the meetup). We will also arrange acoustic covers for some songs to perform at open mics. The intent is to play and learn music together to become better musicians. All skill levels are welcome. Even if you don't play any instruments, a keen ear is always a great help :)
We organize the meetup in two sessions. In the first session, we will pick up a new song and try to get a rough take of the song within the session. This will be about exploring new versions, possibility of improvisations and adding new instruments and parts to the song.
In the second session, we will take up a song that has either been done in the first session or where incoming members have already picked up the parts and/or want to work on it and get a polished version out. In this session, we will focus on getting a more professional take. We will have a sign up sheet for parts of the song that we will do each week. Please sign up for the parts you want to take, but don't take off others if they have already signed up for it. You can also just add an entry to say that you'll be bringing something new or want to add a new section to the song and we can work on it in the meetup.
