Internet marketing is an exciting and rewarding field. Powerful new tools and technologies allow even the smallest businesses access to global markets and potentially huge profits.

Unfortunately there's also plenty of hype and misinformation around. What really works? How do you separate the solid techniques from the snake oil? And given all the possible things you could do to promote a business online, what should you FOCUS on?

We'll explore best practices in email marketing, search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising, affiliate marketing, and all the other internet marketing methods. What are the most productive uses of social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook? And what new exciting tools are just around the corner? We address these topics and more at regular meetings that include talks from leading experts as well as time for networking.

Our group is the outgrowth and continuation of several classes related to Internet Marketing offered through the Stanford Continuing Studies Program. Our purpose is twofold: learning and connecting. We aim to provide a forum for entrepreneurs, business owners, and industry professionals to come together, share ideas and resources, and expand our knowledge.

Our events are open to anyone interested in building or promoting a business on the internet.

You will learn tips to make the story brief, personal and inspiring so the audience connects with you. Most importantly – learn how to get the listener to change behavior and take some type of action. Finally, we will review the differences between a story presented live and in person vs via video or in writing. This will be a powerful and entertaining event!
