ring bells! 12/12 is the Bell Day

Details
Red Rock 2nd Floor Open Mic is held every Monday at 7 PM. As it coincides with the Bell Day of 2016, we decided to ring our bells there (whether we manage to allocate a mic spot or not) as it is the highest elevated location available in Mountain View.
The custom of the Bell Day, associated with the Thing Bell of Novgorod, the cathedral bells of the sunken city of Kitezh and the adoption day of the first Russian post-Soviet Constitution, is there to celebrate the age-old strife for freedom, civil liberties and self-determination - but above all, the unalienable freedom of will that makes everyone one's own assembly and one's own ruler.
The Bell Day resolution is a law, above all other laws, one adopts for oneself for one year, till the next Bell Day. It may be a life-changing plan or a small candy-sized wish. It need not, though may be, disclosed openly in public or to anyone at all; no one would push you to follow it or blame you for not following it either. Ringing the bell is not a religious ceremony because the free will is what precedes our choice to adopt, follow or break up with any religion.
If you feel like you need a cup of coffee to take an encouraged decision, we'll order one for you.
