The Bay Area Sewists second annual Frocktails in February event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 10, 4 pm to 6 pm. Wear a dress (frock) or ensemble you made and have a cocktail! We'll have a private space upstairs at Tupper & Reed, a lovely bar located in a building designed in 1925. We'll also serve a variety of hors d'oeuvres (crudités, vegan spring rolls, chicken fingers and dessert).
There will be a no-host bar, which means you'll need to pay for your drinks.
NOTE: Tickets are nonrefundable.
Early bird member tickets are no longer available.
Regular tickets to the general public are $35 (+Eventbrite fee) and on sale until Jan. 31 on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2018-frocktails-in-february-tickets-41566943848. Last-minute tickets are $40 (+Eventbrite fee) from Feb. 1 to 5. The fee covers the cost of the bartender's time and the catering. There will be a no-host bar, which means you need to pay for your drinks.
Tickets sales end Monday, Februrary 5, 11:30 pm.
IMPORTANT: Tickets are nonrefundable. See FAQs at the end for more info.
Note to our male members and those who don't typically wear dresses: A dress is not required but the idea is to wear something you made.
Come and raise a glass to the New Year, meet other Bay Area Sewists members and show off your ensemble!
We'll also have some amazing raffle prizes to give away, starting at 5:30 pm:
• $50 gift certificate from Britex Fabrics
• $50 gift certificate from The Sewing Room
• $30 gift certificate from Stonemountain & Daughter Fabrics
• $25 gift certificate from Hello Stitch (to be used toward classes)
See you there!
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
You must be 21 years of age or older because alcohol will be served.
What should I wear?
Wear something you made or something that makes you feel good. It's a cocktail affair.
Can I bring a guest?
You are welcome to purchase up to two more tickets for guests.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is street parking and parking garages in the area. It can be hard to find street parking so allow plenty of time to find a spot. Or park in a garage: http://www.bestparking.com/berkeley-parking/.
Tupper & Reed (http://www.tupperandreed.com/) is located a five-minute walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART stop. It's about 2.5 blocks south of the BART stop. What's the refund policy?
Tickets are nonrefundable. Unfortunately, we can't offer refunds because we have to meet the costs of holding this event. Thank you for your understanding. If you can't make it, you can sell your ticket by posting to the Facebook page or Meetup page for this event. You'll need to work out payment between the ticket holder and buyer. Eventbrite makes it very easy to transfer tickets to someone else - just enter the name of the new person and email that person a link to the ticket.
