What we’re about
Bay Area Skeptics encourage rational thought and critical thinking through the use of scientific methods. We also promote critical thinking and accuracy in the media and in our schools. We are particularly interested in such topics as claims of the paranormal, pseudoscience and untested or poorly tested medical and psychotherapeutic practices.
People in Bay Area Skeptics come from diverse backgrounds and professions and represent all age groups.

Skepticism's Time Warp - Are We Winning or Losing? (Craig Foster)
In Craig Foster's Skeptical Inquirer (SI) column, The Time Warp, he reviews early SI issues to examine skepticism with the knowledge provided by the passage of time.
From one perspective, all skepticism does is win, win, win.
From another perspective, all skepticism does is lose, lose, lose.
How can today’s skeptics use this understanding to shape the future towards the winning side?
